coast down idle?

Ok having a senior moment. Is it called a coast down idle when you coast with clutch in but engine slowly drops idle? OBD I system, can this be changed? Even fully warmed up idle only drops to about 850 where if not rolling and after about 30 seconds it will drop to about 600. I know it is there for ease in engaging the clutch again but I can handle that.

Have you tested if idle is higher in gear as opposed to when in neutral?

Yea no change. I'm sure it has to do with a VSS or IAB if my Jeep has one. Something is reading the speed and keeping the idle up to make it smoother to change gears. I'd like to bypass that without changing my choke function.

Is there a spell check built into the quick reply box? i see lots of spelling errors. like you instead of your. Its driving me crazy, guess it could be the keyboard or even a loose nut behind the screen.

Always a loose nut but I got crap in my laptop keys for sure. I don't always catch those errors. 95 - OBDI. But if spelling errors are driving you crazy I would have to guess that you are half way there to start? Just pretend that English is my second language. Can't seem to translate those clicks and pops from my native tongue.
Chip? what chip and from who? thanks
