.7L turbo to replace 1.5L for 12% better FE

This is an awesome little engine! (and cute too, lookit how small it is haha)

.7L 3 cylinder turbo
direct injection (gasoline)
100 hp 103 ft/lbs
SOHC but has "dual independent cam phasing, allowing for fully variable valve timing and overlap on both the intake and exhaust ports" - dunno how they do that, but that sounds awesome
delivers 32% more torque than a typical 1.5L engine @ 1500 rpm

Wow. I want one too! Those HP and TQ ratings are nearly the same as my 1.6 Civic.

32% more torque at 1500 rpm sounds just perfect.

Wow !
100hp and 700ccs.
That is a great power to displacement ratio. Bet that would be great in a bike......

The Edison2 VLC cars use a 250cc (turbo?) single cylinder that produces ~40HP. If the car is light enough, this is plenty of power.

That's the exact amount of torque as the current 1NZ-FE but 2700 rpm lower. Imagine the extra room in the engine bay. No more busted knuckles while tinkering.

Wow. Bolt a luggage handle on the top of that, and you can keep a spare and just hand-carry it into the shop when it needs an oil change.

Throw that little lawnmower engine in the lemon and putt all the way to work and class.

Daox -

Building on what Clev said, the HP junkies can have one for each axle. Full time AWD + 200 HP total.

Can I get a downsized one for the Fireflies please?

About half that output would be fine!
