94 ford aspire project

I have a 1994 Ford Aspire 4 door hatchback 3 speed automatic that I will be doing modifications to with hopes of increasing the MPG. I'll post pictures later. I have been keeping my fuel log up to date on here so check it out.

Well My picture files are to big for the site . But, anyway. I removed the back seat. floor covering, and a bunch of junk in the trunk.
The junk weighed 40 lbs
The back seat weighed 42.9 lbs total including the rear rug ashtray seat belt bottoms and rear hatch cover. (9.7 lbs)
I totaled the amount and it came to 82.9 lbs .
Hopefully That will help my MPG.

If anyone knows how to post pictures that are to big let me know and I'll do it. I've never downsized a picture before.
Thanks

The things that made the biggest impact on my aspire were:

$6 ram air from home depot

and of course auto-rx and FP60

I am replacing my whole exhaust system due to rust ,and was wondering if the pipe diameter matters and what would work best for fuel economy. Any ideas?

There was just a discussion on this at fordfestiva.com. Stock size is probably best, but do not go over 2 inch. The lil B3 doesnt need much.

Thanks, Bhazard. I am having trouble locating an exhaust manifold and the front intake pipe. I've been searching everywhere.

By the way I removed my back seat last weekend for a camping trip and it made a noticeable difference in acceleration. Wondering if it will translate into more mpg. Every good chunk of weight makes a noticeable difference when youre car only weighs 1750 lbs.
