If I could get a copy of Aerodynamik des Automobils for a price like that, I'd be all over it. Sadly, it looks like the German edition of that book is even more expensive than the English translation. Anyway, thanks for the tip, and it's a shame I'm even farther from Stuttgart than you are.

They seem to have been editing stuff out -- I saw the 2nd edition (borrowed from the MIT library by my librarian spouse) and it had more esoteric studies of things like the air flow around a spinning wheel, in and around the inner fender; with and without wheel skirts. This is missing from the 4th edition, which I now own.
