Haha, that crossed my mind for a second. Aren't there some Acadian communities in your area? I remember going out for dinner in Arichat during a trip 3 years ago. Everything was deep fried, but people were extremely friendly. BTW, I always found it quite funny that steak and eggs is a popular breakfast in NS.

I'm sure there are, but I'm not familiar with them (stayed pretty local this winter). Lunenburg was founded in 1753 by the British, but there were Micmac and Acadians fishing/farming/trading in the area well before then.

The person whose apartment I'm renting is actually a Gaspesienne transplant to here.
