All the way from Finland

Greetings from Finland!

New at the forums, although have been reading like an year now.

I own a year -99 Rover 200 with the 1.4i petrol engine car, it has 103 horsepower so it has some potential. Still a nice gas saver I believe and can be made better fuel economy with few moderate and decent aerodynamic mods.

I've decided to buy myself the MPGuino since the car itself doesn't actually have OBD-II (so can't install ScanGauge-II). It has this port called MEMS3 which has some similarities with OBD-II but doesn't work with SG-II. This is my best idea to safe petrol while driving.

Here are some specs I found (source: rover200.org.uk):
Imperial MPG
Urban 31.9
56 mph 51.4
75 mph 38+ .5

Cheers to all!

That's a great little car to start out with. Some aero mods and changed driving techniques will really help you get better MPG's or L/km.

Welcome to Ecomodder! I've also gathered by now that you wouldn't be from Finland if you didn't have a few k's in your name!! Boy, do you have cold to deal with!

Yay, Finns!

As my mom says, "You can always tell a Finn, but you can't tell him much." She should know, she married Dad.

Thanks all! And yes, we have pretty cold weather especially during winter here. Atm, there's 52,88 degrees Fahrenheit, but it should rise in few days...

As soon as I can get myself MPGuino I can improve my driving skills to more economical which I'm looking forward.
