Another newbie
Found this site about a month ago, and ve been lurking and reading until now.
So far ive read the complete thread on "Project Forkenswift" and "Electro-metro", not to mention somebodies conversion of an old VW beetle.
Im hooked. I want low MPG transport. Electric, Petrol(Gas), Diesel, Air, anything. Ok, i suppose it would help if i could afford a car first, but im a broke student.
Anyway, now i can actually comment on the awesome work of people on here!

I know a guy who had paid off a nice house at age 29, because he had never owned a car. I never needed one, living in a city.

Ahh, but if you only use a bike, you need only be aware of a small neighborhood and a few routes. You can stay with all short commutes, if you make it a priority. And, if there is some stress, the exercise helps work it through.
