Any Festivas here?

hey everyone!

I might be able to get a good deal on a Festiva.

I was just wondering if anyone here is currently driving one. If so, what mods have you done, how much EOC, anything else I might be interested in knowing?

What are you getting for economy in yours?

Thanks,

-Ben

My dad has 2 and I have a Aspire. I know a pretty good forum if you want to read up on them. He gets 45+ on both of his at 200k. I get 35-40 on mine.. slightly different driving conditions.

On my 'Xtiva'. I averaged around 45mpg using alot of EOC (gaslog is still on GS). Good little car. I'd recommend it! Almost all of them have a manual rack and that helps with EOC. I am playing around with some Aspires right now, but have been unable to reach the mpg of the festiva...Yet.

Turtle get as many as you would like

I have three customers who own Festivas.
All of them have the same opinion;
wouldn't trade it for anything.
for some reason the little Mazda/Ford has a real appeal to the owners.
These were originally re-badged Mazda 323's.
But I have not heard of any older 323 owners with the same loyalty.
I am sure they are out there.
BTW
You can have as many cars as you want.
I am going to be getting rid of some of mine shortly(depends on weather and work schedule).

So then is the 1.6L engine that is in a Miata the same engine that is in a Festiva?

No Sir,
the Festiva has a 1.3 sohc
The Miata is dohc
However i am sure with a little engine-uity you could swap one for the other depending on your desires;
a really fast Festiva,
or,
a really F.E. Miata.

I worked at a Ford dealer for some time and we had a loyal customer with an old Festiva who came in for regular maintenance only. He loved that little car! He bought it new.
