Any one find the term hypermiler degrading?

hypermiler is by no means degrading. the day I found "EGR" and realized how extremely deadly that is in many locales, is the day I went nerd on my own. That was before this forum, or the internet. I like this place, regardless of labels describing a realistic goal..hypermilers are hacking indeed, and may some of the input win reality of auto manufacture.There are some things undoubtably efficient, stopped only for bad marketing. hypermilers in the news is great, there is some notable little things to reveal.

I'd much rather be called a hypermiler than "Granny Lightning" which is what my sister likes to call me when she rides in my car. I drive with a light foot and try to sqeeze every MPG out of my cars and my sister does balls to the wall red light to red light and redline shifts onto the freeway even if no one is coming. She also has the speeding tickets to prove it.
