Anyone from Central Florida Area?
 

As the title says. Anyone from Central Florida? Or any other parts of Florida? If so do they meet up at anytime?

South Florida. Haven't seen any Florida meets posted.

We live in Melbourne. Not aware of any get togethers in Florida.

Other than my two sons and Ecky (who used to live in Florida), I haven't met any other Ecomodders in person.

I'm right in the middle of Florida, between Tampa and Orlando. It would be cool to meet up with some Florida Ecomodders some time, I'm not sure how many of us there actually are here. There aren't too many on the Ecomodder map anyway

I am VERY new to the site. I use to drive tractor trailer coast to coast back in the day and have always been aware of my fuel costs and mileage. I have since moved on but still have the same interests. I have a 2011 VW Jetta TDI Sportwagon, 1993 Dodge 250 with a cummings and am presently working on building a Sonoma extended cab and installing an old Datsun SD 22 diesel with a standard 5 speed. I just got the little diesel running after having it in storage for the last 18 years. If you are ever in the Ocala area and wish to stop by let me know. I'll show you what I am up to.....

I live in Vero Beach, but I travel for my work. Maybe late May or Early June we could have a Florida meet-up, pound some suds and gib gab.

OK, :cool: Y'all are invited to visit Ocala in late may or early June and we can have lunch at one of the many eateries just off I 75 at exit 350. I don't know how far along I will be with my Sonoma/Datsun diesel project but Y'all are welcome to come out to my place and scope it out. I am 3 1/2 easy miles from the exit 350. Let me know who and how many are on board and we can have a majority vote on where you want to go to eat and gab.

I have non-hypermiling in-laws living in the Space Coast area - Melbourne and Titusville. If I ever visit down there for a length of time, I'll take a look in this thread and hopefully meet up with some of you. Normally I'm up in Connecticut.

It looks like you and I were the only ones interested in a sit down....... If you are ever in
or around the Ocala area let me know and we can grab a coffee or what ever and plan on our looking forward to getting 100 miles per gallon....... I am still working on my Sonoma / Datsun conversion. I will be happy if I get this combination to get 36+ MPG...Let me know.
