Anyone have wordpress blog experience?

I'm having a problem with a new blog I've just set up where the them displays properly on every page but the index page, and was wondering if anyone here had some thoughts.

in the configuration you can set it for a static front page that can be defined differently than others. Go to options > config and set it to front page displays lastest posts and you should be good.

I actually managed to fix it...it was a theme issue, so I just stole code from another theme and patched some crap together...site's not ready for an unveiling yet, but in a few days,

My experience with WP is spam to hell (well, that goes for many blogs too)! It's bothersome keeping up with filters and such...
