anyone tryed these LED bulbs ?

hi

ive just bought a pugeot 106 diesel 1.5L. so now the ecomodding begins.

these LED lights look good. has anyone here tried LED main lights?

They will give you the "look" but I don't believe it will have the road coverage and throw that you would expect fer headlights. If you want to experiment...go fer it. But don't put yerself and others at jeopardy on the road...

Those are for vehicles that have day time running lights with separate bulbs and as day time running lights those would work well and save some energy.

ok these are more like it.

assuming halogen is 18lm/w
a normal 55w headlight would make 1000lm

or these CFL's would pay back in less than a year if they could be adapted to fit.

or use normal voltage CFL's and an inverter. that would cut the pay back time to 6 months.

It's not about over all output but focused light output. Those CFLs won't do squat on the road.
