Apparent yearly EV meet @ DVC in Concord CA

Hey did anyone know about this? Apparently on the 4th Saturday of April the local EV Chapter has a meet in the Engineering Tech Parking lot at Diablo Valley College. I happened to be at school on a Saturday and I saw these sitting out in the parking lot

There were 3 cars, all EV, a 90v DC Ghia, a once diesel now EV VW Rabbit, and a Porsche 914 (didn't get a pic). The 914 was a kit car conversion, the VW and Ghia were custom jobs. They were packing up when I got there but it was pretty cool. Its one thing to read about and plan an EV, its another to actually see one in person. The guy with the VWs were pretty cool, the 914 dude seemed a little "well I shelled out so and so and it was a cool kit"

The guy with the Ghia used to race it. Apparently he once got 99.2ish miles on a single charge. All of em used lead acid as their battery packs. The Ghia had a pack of 11 12v batteries wired up in series. I wish I had come earlier and had a chance to ask more questions and learn more about the cars.
