Here's some testing that shows some fairly realistic results. I think the tire pressure should be given a little more weight but all in all I think they did a fair job. I think a 50% increase over current MPG is easily achievable by driver techniques only for those just getting into the ECO game.

I agree, I consistently see an appreciable improvement in Fuel Economy by just bumping up the TP to the manufacturers max or 50 psi. This, honestly, should be one of the first and easiest mods for new EcoModders...

I plan a simple experiment on this. It's one of the few ones I can do in the winter.

And the effects of low pressure are even worse in winter, since the rubber compound stiffens in the cold.
