Answers are not so simple. I won't hit a deer standing in the road but many times they are at full speed of 25-30mph Jumping fences and ditches. and are crossing from one side of road to the other looking for sex.

Here is a short video of my house and farm. We own the land on the side of the road with the car and house. It extends from the top of the hill on one side to the bridge at the bottom on the other.
