Back to back 30mpg+ tankfills!

Hi, With warmer weather finally coming to Northern CA, my fuel economy has been improving from the 26-27 mpg that I saw this fall and winter. Since its warmed up I have been getting tanks of 28-29 mpg and now my last 2 fillups have been over 30 mpg. This is with my 2000 Jaguar S-Type ( 3L V6, 5 sp AT), that has an EPA rating of 16 city, 24 freeway, 19 combined. Needless to say, I'm pleased.

Thanks! I have been thinking about a belly pan for some time and now need to focus on doing it. My mods so far are a complete upper grille block, partial lower intake block, R side mirror delete and front wheel deflectors. I plan on making a cardboard one first, then using that as a template for a sheet metal version. How much of an improvement did you see with your belly pan?
best wishes L&S

Thanks Darrell! I have to thank you again for the testing we did using your Scangauge on relative values of cruise control vs engine-on neutral coasting versus DWL. I started using the so-called "hang-time" technique as much as possible and it seems to be working. I do need to start working on a bellypan.
best weishes, L&S

LATEST TANK WAS ...... 29.6 MPG. Close but no cigar , still pretty satisfying. I need to get working on my belly pan.
