Basic Hypermiling video
 

Just posted a hypermiling video, figured I should share it here. I hope you guys know this stuff already, but we get new people every day.

I'll think about it. :) Filming more advanced hypermiling videos will require interior shots, and potentially multiple cameras. I will definitely have to plan ahead to make such videos, the video above was easy to take just dashcam footage since it is easy to understand what is going on.

I think it was perfect. More of the same would work great. Or even unedited with notes at timestamps that have action.

I'm very impressed with the video, I liked that hard left with the tire scream. This is what I like about ecodriving. Hardcore dude, keep it up

If you are talking about the turn at 35 seconds in, that was just coins sliding, still no tire squealing yet. :) I usually don't turn that hard since at that point there is quite a lot of speed scrubbed off. That and the margin for error becomes even smaller.

Nice :) if I had worthwhile equipment, I'd try similar videos. Covers the basics nicely. I'd love to try my hand at Matt Farah-style one take reviews, while I'm at it.

Might see if there's anything you can do on the freeway? That's what seems to be holding me back ATM. Off-freeway I'm semi-lazy and still run around 15% better numbers.

Well, I will be doing an approximately 40 mile trip trip tomorrow which should include a good bit of highway driving. I will try to stream it a little bit after I leave my house. No guarantee as to when I will leave, but look for the stream around 10AM to noon(my time). For reference, it is 9:25 as I post this.
