Awesome Job, Ben!! You and Darin are my heroes I want to do something like this so bad just watching yards, fence rows, fields everywhere for the right donor still. Maybe I will get lucky this winter and find a oldy, but goody.

The motor really needs to have a big torque arrester attached to it.
I only have a piece of slotted metal (probably scrap piece of cheap stand-alone shelving) holding up the loose end of the motor.
I think I can re-use the part that actually held the motor in the forklift. I will need to weld something to it, so that I can attach it to the engine mount.

I love the competition between these 2 threads. It's exactly like a reality TV show!!
Except much slower, and mostly text-based...

I humbly dis-agree.
This is SO much better than anything on TV.
PS - I vote MPaulHolmes off the island.

I vote my mother-in-law off the island, into shark infested waters since I have to drive over to my parents' house to take pictures and work on the car, and I always forget the dang camera! OOH that just makes me so mad. Plus, I have power of veto, and won immunity since I did some weird game. Plus, aren't electric cars fun to drive! I moved our car up to the driveway again by driving it, but I thought it didn't work anymore, since it was so dead! It's an act of faith to step on the gas. hahaha! I love it! I love it!!!
Go, Electric Car, It's your Birthday, Light a candle, throw a party!

Whoa. Wait a minute. There's another EV build thread? Argh! So many threads, so little time!
I guess I wasn't paying close enough attention.
Nice plug for ol' ecomodder.com in the video, Ben! I am so jealous of your project. I wanna build an EV!
*Lucille Ball voice* Whaaa!
