Perhaps a better setup of the topic which includes graphics and documentation would be in order.

These cars have been posted and discussed before, but a refresher is needed.

Daytona was a little better aero wise, the Superbird was probably a better racecar as it had more experience (better cooling and downforce). The Daytona street cars were much better put together, the Superbirds were kind of thrown together although all of them have probably been completely rebuilt by now. I remember seeing my first winged car doing everyday duty, an orange Daytona in 1985. The guy lived in a simple apartment and it was just parked outside in the lot. Not long after that their value really took off. Pretty cool.

There's a guy semi local to me that has 1 of each. The cool thing is that he drives them frequently. I don't know him personally. But I know he is tied to a car museum. Thus I would assume he is the owner. $$$ Both his have been restored nicer than they were when new. One is marked 440, and the other has hemi graphics. But they could have anything under the hoods as they don't idle like a regular mopar big block. (extremely lumpy idle)

No matter anyone's opinion on the specs of these cars, its pretty cool to see some of them still driven on the street instead of being stuffed away in museums. I'll try to catch a pic of them as I see them a couple times a month during good weather.
