Best non-electric mpg? (What's yours?)

No hybrids allowed. What's the best mpg anyone has gotten without electro-help. Just curious....mine is

Figures: 59.6 mpg over 386 mile test loop
Terrain: mostly flat (I-5), driving 50-55 mph, coasting down hills
Vehicle: 1982 Chevette diesel, stock, with 40 psi in the tires.

59.34mpg for me, mostly highway on level road, during summer when the temps were in the 90s going below 60mph.
In my VX.

<waiting for basjoos to come in here and trump us all with his 90mpg tank>

Average speed is the critical factor. My best was 68 MPG averaging 64 MPH, for 300 miles, in my VX. Sadly I could never equal that mileage after changing the original 15 year old tires.

Mech

Mine was 104 mpg (US) over 267.5 mi

That's in the modded Firefly, and it was just to see if I could break 100: all pulse & glide, in ideal summer conditions, avg speed ~20 mph; all were real, legitimate sub/urban/rural trips on deserted roads.

It's not representative of my typical mileage (car's cumulative MPG is around 67).

20.5 mpg on a 380 mile trip loaded with camping gear in the rolling hills of southern Ohio. 55-65 mph depending on if I was going up or down the hill. Summer time.

So far my best was 45.3mpg with my '05 Corolla on a road trip to PA and back, which was in Oct. This was before i doing aeromods, so i'm definitely looking forward to summer to see what i can get.

Eleven miles on a bagel with creme cheese and a glass of milk. Top speed was only 12 MPH though...I need to get in shape.

Well- you DID say 'non-electric'and no hybrids. If you meant ICE though, 47 MPG on a '93 Festiva, average speed 48 MPH.
