Best Power outage ever.

This morning, as I was getting ready to leave for work, the power went out.

It took me a minute to realize what happened. I only actually noticed because my cordless phone base beeped a couple times.

Lights didn't go out, because I didn't have any on. I have a skylight and plenty of windows. It's not even worth it to turn the lights on in the day.

I finished off what I was doing on my computer (laptop with an internal battery)

Put my coffee in a thermos. (electric coffee pot, already brewed.)

Grabbed my cell phone (already charged up to internal battery)

Hopped on my electric motorcycle (already charged, but the Killawatt no longer told me how much electricity I used to charge.)

And rode to work.
I thought it funny that the power indicator on the end of the extension cord I use for charging at work was off. Figured the downstairs tenant unplugged it on me again.

In the front of the building, a bunch of people were standing around on the sidewalk. One said, "hey, the power is out."

I thought for about half a second, and said. "So."

They all laughed.

I went inside, unlocked my office, set up my computer, and the power came back on.

Reheated my coffee in the microwave and got to work. (And by work, I mean waste time on Ecomodder.com....)

Best power outage ever.
