Best sub £1000 Biodiesel friendly vehicle?

There's a place about 1.5 miles from my house that sells bio diesel for approx 1/3 the cost of forcourt diesel over here...

So it got me thinking


Whats the best sub £1000 car to run on Biodiesel?

I want the simplest, most foolproof setup possible, as it'd just be a mileage hack.

THe burd's Clio is dying, so I think the iS will be hers, and I'll have the 320 for funtimes.

This car would just be a beater to be run for trips to the unit etc.

I'm no expert but I believe that you could get away with running biodiesel through a direct-injection engine, otherwise I hear that the old VW indirect-injection D/TD engines are just about bullet-proof when it comes to alternative fuels. You should be able to pick one up for cheap enough, just remember to upgrade your fuel lines.
