Sanyo Electric Co. is introducing an electric bicycle with regenerative braking into the Japanese market. The system extends the distance the bicycle can travel on one charge to 50 kilometers from 35km for existing models.

They're pretty sweet bikes. I've seen old ladies on them biking up slopes I could never imagine getting up in my wildest dreams.
