Bluetooth Scan Tool

Has anybody used an OBDII-to-Bluetooth device like this one:
ScanTool.net LLC - OBDLink Bluetooth OBD Interface Scan Tool - ScanTool.net

I came up with the bright idea that you could make a OBDII-to-Bluetooth device and then have customizable screens to watch whatever you want and log it as well on a smart phone or laptop. Like most bright ideas, it's basically already been done. I found that one above.

Anybody used this one or one like it?

How's the refresh rate ?
That seems to have been the bottleneck on - at least some - OBD2 to BT adapters.

Does anybody use a OBDII-to-Bluetooth with a laptop rather than a smart phone? Is there PC software for it?
