A car with fabric body panels. It's a pretty cool video to watch (I don't have sound here at work), but watching the headlight open is kinda creepy in a Transformers kind of way.

An interesting discussion here:

http://jalopnik.com/395588/bmw-gina-...evealed-creepy

As some folks said on a BMW board I'm on:
  • when they get crashed, do you take it to a body shop or a seamstress?
  • Parachute riggers.
  • Neat idea, but the first miscreant with a pocket knife and a bad attitude could destroy your car.
  • you can have it in any shape as long as its "ugly."

Those head lights are cool!

Concepts good, we really just need a big old tube frame for safety and stability. Sheet metal on top is just for looks. With a fabric car, be way more easier to repair damages, if any, change colors, even chance the form of the body by just changing the underlaying frame.
