version 3 will use some custom built motors by Venturi. What sort of motors are they? What controller are they using? Man that is stinking fast!

I heard it is 176 mph. There are 2 motorcycles headed to the Salt Flats for the WoS event ( Usfra home page ) that have a shot at beating that number. Here's one of them:

Bill and Eva are working fast and furious to get this done in time.

I've heard secondhand the OCC bike that just did around 165 in the 1/4 mile might run -- if he can go just 12 mph faster he might take the record. Here is a vid:
