Well, I said "probably" because you never mentioned what you are toting around, and I even gave you the benefit of the doubt that the truck is what you needed and tried to give helpful suggestions....

But, my neighbor is a contractor and replaced his pickup with a Ford Transit Connect. It's rated for a payload of 1600+ lbs and with heaps of tools and supplies loading it up, he's still getting close to 30mpg hwy. He's thrilled with it.

Did you search for Big Dave's threads? His truck is pretty similar to yours.
