buying an Accent

Next saturday, I will be purchasing a brand new base model 3 door accent. Any advice from people that drive or have driven them?
Are they reliable? 10 year warranty makes me think that should be.k

What kind of gas mileage are people getting?

i bought a new 2001 accent, was a great little car, sold it to my buddy who is still driving it and puling down 42 mpg with out doing any real hypermiling.

The new ones look even nicer than the older generation model I had. whish i didn't sell it with gas prices now, but i have better solutions at this point.. But it was a great vehicle, very economical to run and maintain, all i ever did was oil changes and break pads.. I did have one valve making noise but Hyundai totally covered that and did the repairs quickly.

My sister has one also, she has not had any major repairs at all, and gets good MPG's with hers also.

I give Hyundai a thumbs up on the accent..

thanks for the reply, this is the first new car I have ever purchased, and I wanted to keep my payments low.

I read that this is the cheapest car in the US right now
