Cargo Trailer Mods

I've modified my cargo trailer in an effort to minimize my carbon footprint. I will never know if the mods did any good but I feel better having made the effort and I do like the look. I did follow the general rules of aerodynamics but they're just too many variables to ever know for sure if I'm saving gas. Given my goal of reducing my pollution output while I'm traveling, my number one rule is to recycle/reuse material on hand or available without taking extra trips to the hardware store or in searching for materials.
Number one job was to cover the underside of the trailer. My pics didn't come out but it was nothing more than screwing coroplas to the underside of the trailer so as to make for a smooth surface. The coroplas was easily found after the last election cycle.
Job two was to "smooth out" the jeep style fenders. I was able to find a large metal sign of the approximate thickness of a recent vintage license plate to use as the material. It was bendable and easy enuf to cut with heavy duty tin snips. Hopefully the pics show my methods.

Definitely upped the cool factor on the old box trailer.
At least partially enclosing the wheel helps too.
You know you could probably sell those.

Looks great, and likely improves aero even if it isn't the ideal shape.
