@ CES 2013, Audi's new electronic lighting solutions
Audi, well-known for it's nighttime LED auto lighting shows, continues its expertise in that art. They experimented with OLED and AMOLED (active matrix organic light emitting diode) arrays as a fresh development for safety and customizable/personalization designs. Audi just creates moving objet d'art on our roads.

Frank -- go ahead and read the article—all tail-lights and running lights. Animated turn signals like the 4-seat Thunderbirds. :) You could do the same thing on any car with RGB LEDs and a micro-controller.

Toyota Fun-vii I remember when people wanted to put a little traffic light in the back window. Green when you're on the gas, yellow when you're off the pedals, and red when you would expect that. Other people threw a hissy-fit over 'safety' and it was deprecated to the third tail-light. I'm thinking LED replacement taillight assembly with 7 LEDs in a hexagon in the middle replaced by RGB-LEDs. Then the circuit out of a bicycle taillight would hide or show the blue dot—or strobe it. |
