Changed Valve Cover Gasket & Gromets, 4 things left???

Iv attached a picture.... I changed my valve cover gasket on my 1997 accord lx and I changed the valve cover gasket, the rubber seal that goes in the spark plug tube on the valve cover itself, the grommets with the metal on them that bolt the valve cover back on but there were little O-rings that came with the kit too, never took any of those off so I had no idea what they went to. They are the thin O-rings in the picture, they are in between the spark plug tube seal and the metal/rubber grommet things:

What are gaskets ?
They look like peformed Permatex pieces. Do they work

I believe they go on the head where the spark plus 'shaft' meets the head. Otherwise oil will seep between the valve cover and the head around the boss the spark plug screws into.
