Well, since you drive a descent mix you'll be looking to do a few things. But, since 2/3s of you drive is highway I'd suggest looking into aerodynamic modifications. I'd also look into a warm air intake as it will keep you in lean burn mode more.

With all of the highway driving you have planned I'd go aero. do a grill block, rear wheel skirts, mirror delete, belly pan, whatever you have time for. Let AndrewJ show you how http://forum.ecomodder.com/showthread.php?t=312

Im pretty sure you can add your own green led "lean-burn indicator".....

I made my own red led "vtec indicator" in the gauge cluster as my first "mod" when I bought my Civic yeeaaarrrsss ago
