The US Civic VX has the d15z1 1.5L lean burn Vtec-e, not a 1.6L, I'm not sure how that compares to the d15z6 engine.

In europe we have a 1.5L (d15z6) with lean-burn vtec-e with a 84,5mm stroke, the US lean-burn VX 1.6L (d16...) got a 90mm stroke so we're missing a bit of torque low down.

I was confiused between de US civic vx and the newer civic hx.
There are some civic eg vx modells here but, very few.
They are also equiped with the d15z1 engine.
90hp with wideband-lambda.

The ek HX lean-burn in de states had to my knowludge a d16(y8)? engine.
The europian civic ek3 has a d15z6 vtec-e.
114hp with rpm-fluctiation sensor.

I would think the 92-95 vx with 5wire o2 sensor is better mpg.I use a vacuum gauge to help me stay in lean burn
