Hey guys,
So I haven't had my VX for very long and I'm in the process of cleaning it up and changing out bad parts. Recently, I've had the timing belt and water pump replaced. The timing belt I think was put on too tight and is causing a sort of whirling noise, but I can have that adjusted. Before either of these two parts were replaced though, I've had an issue with a rattle that comes on in 1st gear after 1500 rpms and 2nd gear after 2000 rpms. I do have a bad input shaft bearing that I will get fixed soon, but could it be the input shaft bearing that is making the noise in 1st and 2nd gear? The input shaft bearing does make a noise when my foot is off the clutch at idle. But when I rev the engine at idle it doesn't make the rattle noise I hear when I'm driving. I have posted a video on Youtube demonstrating the sound. Also, I've noticed that when I shift into 2nd gear and if I floor it, it'll start hesitating for a good 3 seconds and then continue on.
