Is it still necessary to rev-match with newer cars? My car doesn't jerk or anything like that it just goes smoothly into gear from N to D. I just might have to start EOCing again after I read that my car can be flat towed for 200 miles.
I think it has most to do with the cruising rpm. My Ranger goes into D at 50mph at barely over idle. The part I hadn't thought about is the speedometer doesn't work in EOC, and the headlights might not either (Subaru).
