Just fit a tire from a car on the back and you should be good.

They call out the vehicle below it as street legal (The SuperTrike), but they didn't with the quad, go figure.

I decided I liked the potential of the supertrike enough (mini t-rex!) that I called the guy and got some more info.

The quad is NOT street legal. He says it is just for fun, would make a good pit bike.

He was not able to get the quad registered in wisconsin (came back "unregisterable"), but he did say that someone made one into a three wheeler and was able to get it registered as a motorcycle.

He also said that sales for his little machines are awesome, seems to be directly linked to gas being above $4 or not.

P.S. The supertrike is no longer available The site is gearing up for some updates.

Hey, I know that guy!

He's pretty cool. I haven't bought anything from him, but would be happy to support his business. I've had him out to my alternative car show a couple of times.

This brings to mind the Piaggio Group 3-wheeled scooters.

Piaggio MP3:

Gilera Fuoco:

Let's not kid ourselves that the Gilera isn't ugly as hell, but the Piaggio comes with smaller engines, a hybrid and a wider front-track model that can be ridden on a car licence. I'm getting rid of my 250 soon so I might save up for one of these. Might make a really good base for a streamliner project - inability to fall over could facilitate the implication of more enveloping bodywork.

I really liked the mini t-rex concept. A fair weather super economical two seater that can take a passenger, or hold your groceries? 150cc is plenty for cruising around town, too bad it wasn't a manual trans, and that it isn't available. Guy thinks the factories that are still standing are too busy making scooters to care about it.

Of course I much prefer 2 wheels for myself and small loads, but this is at least motorcycle-like and would entice more passengers than my bikes.

The tanker is nice, if it were near and if illinois werent a nazi state about anything that moves...

re: 150cc well, the trike is an aerodynamic mess, so 150cc might just be a good thing to keep the speeds down But I would still retrofit a gearbox and clutch to make the most of that 150.
