1991 CRX hf

So I have been thinking alot about getting a 88-91 crx hf, I used to have a crx 4 years ago and don't remember many of the details about it (besides it drove like heaven) So I have a few questions I'm sure you guys can help with (especially SVOboy) So here are a few questions I have:
1) Should I REALLY get rid of my perfect neon for a crx? is it a bad idea considering how old crxs are?
2) Like my car obviously has a OBD2 or whatever for a scangauge2, what does a crx have? OBD1? What kind of instrumentation would I use for a crx? SC1?
3) Do crxs have cruise control?
4) Do they have power steering? (I know mine didn't, if it did it was broken)
5) The d15b6 engine is the best engine for the crx right?
6) are crx parts hard to find? (I hate e-bay so besides that website)
7) If I DID get rid of the neon for a crx, would I most likely have to replace parts on it really often since its so old (like I had to with the fiero?)

Thank you for whatever help you can give me

1) Yes. CRX's are more fun to drive.
2) CRX's are non-OBD, unless you update the car. Getting an HF doesn't give you an update option without losing the HF engine, so the only real choice is to go to a D15Z1 engine and full ECU swap.
3) No, except maybe the Si models, which would be able to be retrofitted to your HF
4)HF doesn't, Si's do. Some DX's I think. If you don't want it, the Civic and Civic DX racks will fit easily, they only take an hour to change.
5)Not even close, but the B6 is the 8-valve EGR'd version of the D-series engine, which will get you ~50 MPG w/o trying, if you keep it running correctly.
6)Depends on what parts, but not particularly. Some people want to charge a mint for them, though.
7)No, Hondas are actually very reliable. I hardly ever had to replace too many parts, excepting maintenance items, like ball joints and tie rods.

well the best mpg crx is the 88 and 89 hf according to the epa. I DO however what cruse control and power steering. The problem is I see the worst epa crx is 26 and the best is 45, If I got a crx i want one that will has at least a 40 epa and let me be able to get 50s,60s or more mpg... I do not know how to swap an engine at all so in your opinion what crx should I be looking for? my old crx was a 89 si...... It has to be a 88-91

Cruise and power steering can both be taken from an Si later down the road, if you decided that you still wanted them. Power steering in a CRX makes no difference, though. It's not any harder to steer without it.

The worst EPA rating for the CRX is probably the '91 Si, which is the 108HP and 7200 RPM redline 5 speed model with the rear wiper and extra rear suspension components.

Suppose you probably want a 90-91 DX if you must have PS, but you still don't get cruise. Cruise was Si, if even those had it.

You should still go for the HF, but you can get better mileage even in an Si than you're getting in the Neon, without really trying.

Later on, you can learn how to swap parts over to get what you want from other 4th gen Civics, like power door locks, power windows, power folding mirrors, power steering, etc.

HF's (some) have A/C too.

oh lol I didn't know some of them did not come with a/c, I do want a/c but its not all that much of an issue b/c every car iv had has not had a/c so far so im not spoiled to it yet >.<

I wish I just still had my 89 si my dad thought that for some reason it was ok to drive my car (which i payed for) without asking and he was racing it and blew the engine He is a meth addict, that may explain some of his idiocy.

When I had my 2 Fieros he sawed off the catalytic converter off one without replacing any pipe to sell it for drugs and thought I would not notice he is probably the dumbest person I know and I'm glad I never have to see him.

PS: my MOM actually bought me a 88 or 89 maxima because she felt bad for me after my dad blew my crx so at least I still had a car...

LOLZ.

The only ones that came without A/C, IIRC, are the ones that were ordered without it.

I'd buy your Neon if it wasn't an auto... but I'm actually looking for a CRX shell myself.

You don't need power steering! Seriously! My CRX is easier to steer than the p/s equipped sentra I've driven for the last few days

Also, I think Christ answered the rest of the questions

So can anyone with a crx or that used to have one tell me if having the rear windshield wiper is worth it? Does it help a lot during rain, we seem to get it a lot down here sometimes...
