I want to do a bike, mostly because I can't afford to do a car... I have a golf cart motor that is decent enough to run at 96v that will get me going plenty fast on a bike...
I assumed my implementation would involve using the gas tank as the heat sink, or at least put my controller's power section up there and try to make it 'resemble' something similar to what the gas tank used to look like. I thought it would be cool to cut and weld hinges on the tank so it could unfold to work on the contoller.. just a thought.
There is a surface mount version of the control board in the works if space is super tight, and Jack's IGBT suggestion will save some space.
