Hello all,

Hey guys new on here and to driving for mileage. I inherited a 99 Honda civic ex coupe recently. I decided to temporarily mod this car for max fuel mileage on a trip over the weekend just to see what it could do. I had so much fun I decided to go all out on the project and that how I found this site.

I don't know whats different about my civic but with cardboard and tape I was able to get an insane almost 50 mpg 600 mile trip this weekend. I am hoping to get even better mileage with more permanent mods.

Welcome to EM! Based on your garage, it looks like entered an MPG race in your first week :

cardboard front airdam
grill completely blocked
all seams covered with tape
rear wheel wells covered with tape
passenger mirror removed
50 psi in all tires
wipers removed
