cutting out the bed weight

Since im installing a bed slide in my truck the thought occurred to me that I could not only ditch the plastic bed liner but I could cut out the 4' x 6.5' section of corrogated steel truck bed underneath that slide and then replace it with non load bearing coroplast. Okay i know maybe not practical because i might have to repair it way in the future before resale but im curious exactly how many lbs would be saved...
