D16y5 in four door civic? (HX engine in EX/LX sedan?)

Has anyone ever tried a HX engine swapped into a four-door civic?

Wiki lists one weight for all models, which I know probably isn't correct, but I imagine they weigh in within a few hundred pounds of one another, and that shouldn't be a detrimental factor.

Reason I ask is I do like the HX mileage but I also like the idea of having four doors. I'd love to see results of a swap, especially if they knew the MPG before the swap in the HX chassis, and after, in the four door chassis.

I don't plan on doing this, I just want an HX, but I am curious!

Yep, there is actually an article online (Google it) of a guy swapping a HX Engine into a LX so he could have the moon roof, leather interior and 4-doors. It worked, and he converted it to automatic as well.

Cool I was able to find one example, but I didn't find the one you describe. Good to find an answer though thanks!

I thought about this and tried looking for a complete HX swap that had the wiring harness and ecu but could never find a complete one. As with most Hondas, the wiring harness and ecu can be used from different models but extra wiring would be required because of the egr, knock, vtec ect. on the HX motor/ecu.
