103 miles for the first bar (of 7), 183 miles for the second. Usually these are 90 and 160 - so hoping for a good tank even with the cold.

I've started to notice a trend in the freeway driving down here. Maybe it is just the fact that I'm driving a little later at night, but people seem to be content to go a bit slower on the freeways. Today it was pretty easy to stay in a 60-65 mph flow of traffic. Purely anecdotal, of course, but my typical mileage is ~28.5 mpg for this 60-mile freeway circuit. Today, with the reduced speed, I saw 29 mpg flat... so about .5 increase.

Now I'm wondering if the trend will continue...

Warm weather is coming back!

I've had one tank over 30 in months, but yesterday it was in the 50s. I gassed up near work, screwed around in local traffic and then drove home (the uphill leg of my commute) and had a couple errands to run up there. When I got home after 52 miles the car read 32.1.

By some miracle it's reaching the low 70's here. Very strange winter. I'll be interested to see the kind of mileage I can get with a correctly working alternator and the updated air dam. Only filled up the Probe once since November.

Also, I've been engine braking because the thing needs pads badly. Hopefully I'll get them on tomorrow and the drums won't be ****ed.

My last few tanks have been some of the best ever - despite the ongoing @&#§€ !!! with the too frequent DPF regenerations.

And that's still on winter tyres.

Record tank distance- 534 miles! With me getting better at it, using EOC more and the taller LRR tires, I'm already aeeing the mileage I had been getting in August weather.

Nice going, Charlie. How are the guys on the Subaru forum treating you these days? They used to give you some guff about you mileage, IIRC.

With the addition of the tail and improved EOC, I've bested last years record going to work on several occasions. My best, last year, was 102.25mpg(20.45 miles/.20 gallons by MPGuino). So far, this year, I've had several 107.63mpg(.19 gallons), 3@113.1mpg(.18), and 1@120.29mpg(.17). If I could only do that all the time.

I light-footed it down to Portland with the 5th wheel and set a new record for towing at a little over 16 MPG. That was at ~60MPH with several stops along the way.

22.4 MPG going into work today.

Last time I got this high, I had an aerocap and an extra overdrive gear. Both have since been removed for different reasons.

Good work, hey. The planet and your wallets thank you. 'Tis the season of warmth and new highs. My own goals are just better speeds and appearance/comfort at 60+ mpg. So far so good.
