That VW makes another claim
Beware of tweaked kWh numbers...
VW's new 'Think New' slogan means the new MEB (Modularer Elektrobaukasten) platform. German acronym for Modular Electric Model line-up. The platform is built around a battery pack in between its wheelbase. The target range is 600 km (373 miles). https://twitter.com/MR_AndrewBrady/s...568064/photo/1
Another yuuuge target, expecting 2-3 million VW Group EVs by the year 2025! The new 'E-Golf' will be ready at the end of 2019 as a 2020 year model. Will be teased at the 2016 Paris Auto Show on October 1.

VW will reveal a Golf sized electric family hatchback at the Paris motor show, according to Autocar:

Probably the cleanest (figuratively), most attractive and non-quirky EV design yet. VW, now put those diesels away and make great EVs.
Tesla-like clean nose and a latent smile. You guys can still plug in a boattail or even rig some 'plasma actuator' spoilers.
Those roof discs are probably perimeter sensors/equipment for autonomous autopilot driving/riding.

Diesels have their place.
The volt for example would get nearly double the city "fuel economy" with a diesel range extender.
Perhaps laws need to be modified to allow special use vehicles, box be damned.
XL1 is a great example of a car that should be pollution exempt
