I've gotten nearly everyone I know to slow down. I've been able to get 7 people to slip into neutral on the big down-hill rides.

Well obviously I for one have slowed down and because of my commute my mileage remains fairly constant. I am proud of the fact that in one month I have cut back my gas usage by 22 gallons. HAHA thats $88 saved as of today.

When saving fuel becomes sort of an "experiment" or a "game" it actually becomes fun! Many people who ride in my car ask what that funny gauge is on my dash and I tell them it's a vacuum gauge that helps me save gas, they become very interested.

yeah a year or more ago when I got into the "veggie power car game".. people thought I was nuts for wanting to mess with used fryer greese.. now there not thinking I'm so nuts when I tell them I drive a minimum 60 miles a day and put in 1 tank of $4 a gallon fuel a month.. I even had a supervisor at work comment on to that same effect... saying people arn't thinking your so "crazy" any more are they? Yet i get no one wanting to know how to do it, they just go on grumbling about that 90 dollar tank of fuel in there SUV.
