Did I do this picture overlay correctly?

Well, I wanted to overlay the air foil thingy over my car. I didn't take this picture but it is the same car. It looks like this guy took the pic at about wheel level. I'm guessing ideally you'd want the picture to be on the level of the windows / roof instead of the wheels.

One neat thing I noticed, it looks like my car's got just about the same angle as the ev1 going up past the rear wheels. Just on my car, underneath that bumper is pretty much hollow space.

Hey if anyone wants to redo this and knows they can do a better job, feel free to do it

Well I found some pics of my car with the spoiler. Actually mines got a different front end than this one but otherwise it's all the same.

I don't have time to overlay it, but it looks like the spoiler is already almost in the right spot. The angle of the picture makes it look like it hangs over the end of the trunk though, and I don't think that's the case. I've never really looked at the spoiler up close though other than washing it so I'll have to check.

So I doubt it helps with the aerodynamics at all. I know they do make little spacer bar things that can raise the spoiler up about 6 or so inches.

If anything, I'd probably like to do something similar to the first picture Carlos drew. I'm guessing that would have the most impact out of the 3 options. Or maybe possibly do one of those boat tails, but I'd really rather not extend the length of the car if it's avoidable.

nice Subie I like the B option

you might consider a front mount and scoopless hood.

the front end of that was an aero improvement over the previous face.

of course that might have been a downforce improvement not a CD improvement.

(it for sure has less frontal area)

just thought of this too the 2.5i model has much less agressive fender flares..
might have to get the base model front suspension too to do that though.
may or may not be worth the effort.

"That's what I'm talkin' about!"

That's it! And as cfg83 has depicted, you've got options on how to get there.
If you push all the way out to the curve, you'll create the locked vortex above the foil which the outer flow will glance off.
You pay a little penalty for the flow circulation within the vortex, but net out on the positive side as far as drag is concerned.
