Now the hard part, how to get the details? Much like the 300+ mpg 1958 opel in the 72 competition.

These cars usually have a one cylinder engine with about 0.05 liter displacement that runs at full load when running. The special body and wheels allow them to coast with the engine off most of the time. They go slow (about 20 MPH) to keep wind resistance low. I know I've seen some details on the web. Try searching for "supermileage" or "3145 MPG".

I am proud to be blog free But still no one posts much gravy on this paticular one but I did know most of the info but the actual motor design interests me.

Now if someone could make a better motor for a HMV freeway we would have an excellent street legal 100mpg+ single person vehicle.
