Diesel Motorcycle

Hello,

I ran across this the other day and didn't find a thread about it here, so I started a new one.

The diesel motorcycle in question is the Track T-800 CDI. This is a 3 cyclinder turbo diesel with a CVT transmission. It is manufactured by a Netherlands company and their website is here:

Track Dieselmotorfietsen - Track T-800CDI 1E - Dieselmotorfiets

I have read in different reviews (going back to 2009) that it it gets anywhere from 100 to 140 MPG.

It is being imported into Canada this year (2012).

Video for first bike to be imported into Canada.

The Canadian website:

The best review I have read so far is a little out of date (2009):
Track T800CDI Rider Report - DieselBike.net

Anyone heard of and / or ridden on one of these motorcycles?
And if anyone finds a more recent review (in English), I would appreciate it.

Thanks,
LDJ

Thanks for sharing! I like most things about it apart from the high price!
I am curious why on a modern bike, it has spokes instead of mag wheels.

Wonder if it will ever be USA EPA approved???

Any idea of the curb weight?

Thanks!

Because it's a dual purpose bike (dirt/street). 99% of dual purpose bikes have spoked rims because they can handle much more abuse than alloy rims, aka jumps.

I agree - a very cool bike. But not a cool price. 25K would get me a nice Ducati.
