Cool Diesel Smart Car titled in USA!

I found this on EBay today. It's a shame I already bought a VW, or this would be mine! It's really hard to find one that's already titled in the US. Anyways, here's the link in case anyone else is interested:

beware, says fuel type gasoline in the vehicle info section, diesel in the title, stupid marketer?

EDIT, does say cdi on the back, not sure how to decode the vin, looking like a diesel, might want jeremey to post an engine pic

Probably just an error on the seller's part. Everything in the body of the ad says diesel. It is a dealership, however, so I'm sure you can call with questions.

Oh, the car was from Canada, but it still gets hot enough in the Summer for our neighbors to the north to have some AC.

cmon now, do you have any idea how many millennia people have survived in AZ without AC? Doesn't that seem a "little" soft to be so whiney on a ac free car that it should be insulted? IT IS MORE EFFICIENT WITHOUT AC!!! It isn't even a wet hot. You all could be more nocturnal if you don't like the heat

dcb,

I was just joking. None of my cars have air that work any longer, no worries!. You are actually right on w/ no AC better FE. If i had the money, the only thing that would stop me would be the KMs for measuring the distance. But even that could be overcome by hooking up a scan gaugeII.

Hmm, I really wish a step by step easy to follow method was out there on how to get a Canadian car titled in the USA without being military.

Also, don't those need rebuilding every 50k miles?

Anyway I would love any of the Canook smarts since they had a real MT if memory serves and were lighter getting slightly (aka 50-60mpg) better FE.

So how would I buy a canadian smart and get it titled here in WisConSin?
