differences in a 2 and 4 door geo

what are the changes in the two autos

do they have the same brakes, springs, gas tank size, wheel base, curb LBs ECT ECT

and of course the FE aro differences

i had it in my head that all 4 doors are 1.3L 4 popers and mostly where auto trans.....
but i found one thats a 1.0L manual trans would it be original??or better to say.......could it be

my thinking is.......if the 4 door has more space and has better aro, wouldn't that be better for an EV swap? cuse it seems every one that does these swaps are "VERY" hard pressed for space.
that is of course if the LBs of the 4door auto are not that much more.

There are several sites that will let you run a free VIN report. This should tell you what original came on the car. Thought I had one bookmarked. Guess not. Just do a web search.

All 1989-1994 Geo Metros sold in the US had the 3-cyl engine. Some were autos, some were manuals. The 4-door hatchback had a slighly longer wheelbase. Otherwise, it was the same as the 2-door hatchback.

In the redesigned 1995 models, the 3-cyl was only available in the 2-door hatchback. And only with a manual transmission. The 4-door sedans all had the 1.3L 4-cyl engine with either an auto or manual trans.
