Direct-injection fuel cut-off, something interesting!

I drive a '12 Mazda 3 i-touring(skyactiv) with a 6 speed manual and use the Torque App to monitor my engine/driving. I was on a trip a few days ago and noticed something, usually the fuel cuts off when I am in gear but release my throttle but I was at slightly higher speeds then I drive usually(about 67 mph) and I pressed my clutch fully. To my surprise, the fuel flow rate showed my typical idle rate (.027 gpm) to 0.00 gpm and intermittently changed back and forth till my speed went below 60 mph, then it went back to my idle flow rate. This is new to me, so I figured that I would share this info. I did a screenshot of my Torque app when it happened and will post it if anyone is interested.
